Lt.-Gov. Anita R. Neville today announced the launch of the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Sharing Hope Initiative, a program through which guests will be invited to bring non-perishable food items when attending Government House events.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs lieutenant-governor, I want to use my voice to do what I can to raise awareness of food insecurity throughout our province and encourage others to join me in taking an active role to support our neighbours and friends in feeding their families,\u201d said Neville. \u201cAccess to nutritious food is a fundamental human right. It is my intent to continue this program for the duration of my time in office.\u201d<\/p>\n

Non-perishable food items that are collected will be distributed to organizations throughout the province.<\/p>\n
