Next Presentation in the Lieutenant-Governor’s Evenings at Government House

As October brings the Halloween season to Manitoba, Lt.-Gov Anita Neville invites Manitobans to a spooky edition of Evenings at Government House featuring Matthew Komus, creator of the Winnipeg Ghost Walk tours.
Join Winnipeg’s self-described “Ghost Historian” as he shares chilling tales, local legends and fascinating history from some of the city’s most intriguing locations. From strange happenings at the Manitoba Legislative Building to ghostly stories from the historic Exchange District, Komus will explore the people, places, and mysteries that continue to haunt Winnipeg’s past. Along the way, he will also share his unusual journey from museum tour guide to becoming one of Manitoba’s most recognizable supernatural storytellers. Blending history, folklore and storytelling, this unique evening offers a captivating look at the city’s darker side while exploring the rich heritage behind the legends.
The event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Government House. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., program begins at 7 p.m. Parking is available on both sides of the Government House driveway. Light refreshments to follow.
Those wishing to attend must register in advance with the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor by calling 204-945-2753. Guests may reserve a maximum of two seats per registration. Please note that hats, large bags and backpacks will not be permitted. Registration is now open. Seating is limited. There is no cost to attend.
