Next Presentation in the Lieutenant Governor’s Evenings at Government House
Series of Free Public Events
Lt.-Gov. Anita R. Neville invites Manitobans to attend the next presentation in a series of free public events designed to welcome Manitobans into Government House and showcase outstanding and inspiring Manitobans who, through words and deeds, continually work to make the province better for all.
The February event will feature Kathryn Young, member of the board of the Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg (WMC), and Caitlin Broms-Jacobs and Madeline Hildebrand of Duo CBJ & MH. The Women’s Musical Club, formed in 1894, is the oldest continuously operating musical organization in Winnipeg, dedicated to advancing classical music in our community. Coming together as a duo for the first time in 2014, Duo CBJ & MH performed as part of Winnipeg’s Millennium Recital Series. Since realizing they were a perfect musical match, they have gone on to perform across Canada. Duo CBJ & MH combines to bring you exhilarating melodies and dances by the great composers of Eastern Europe. Enjoy Rachmanioff, Bartók and Amirov in their unique settings for oboe and piano.
The event will be held on Feb. 13 at Government House. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Program begins at 7 p.m. Parking is available on both sides of the Government House driveway.
